A dear artist friend of mine has given me one of my favourite paintings of his. A black background drizzled with multicoloured paint spats, and at its center, in bold golden letters, reads the phrase “Breath Bitch!”. I loved that piece from the first time I laid my eyes on it and now it has been graciously given to me at the perfect time.
Temperature is warming up slightly and the feel of the Spring is starting to tantalize our souls. I noticed that my pace has sped up along with the awaking from hibernating isolation population. Life will regain its vibrance soon and I need to remember to allocate self-care moments in my schedule. The chronic fatigue I’ve been fighting won’t be resorbing unless I sustain the proper equilibrium between rest and activities.
This small funny and wise order my friend sent me in art fills my heart with joy while reminding me to use my prana exercises to relax and ground myself. Now standing as the centrepiece of my studio’s main wall, I can’t escape this message and take a few seconds each time I see it to inhale and exhale.
