Demanding, but good.
I wish I could rest quietly at home before joining friends, but time doesn’t permit at the moment. As happy as I am to reconnect, as exhausted I feel from this weeks efforts. I hope i the future my schedule will unfold in a way that will give me more recuperation time before jumping in my social activities.
To be faire, I did plan Thursday to be a me day, but the latest math home work, and my new tutoring schedule threw that plan in the bin. Also yesterday, my travels where servely delayed due to a snow storm which forced me to stay up later than I would have liked. Once I submit my math homework tomorrow, my mind will be more at peace. For now, I’m a bit irritated from having more on my plate than what my energy levels can handle right now. The demands on me aren’t excessive, it’s just me who need more rest than the average person.
On a more positive note, my friends are proud of my progress in school, and have been greatly supportive of my dream. It feels wonderful to get some recognition for all my efforts. They also get a kick at reviewing what they learned in the past when I talk of my most recent achievements. Sciences, and mathematics do make a huge difference in everybody’s lives, we become less, ans less aware of it as technology advances. Still we need those critical skills to properly interact with the world we live in. Nature is regulated by those laws, and if we want to be more respectful of our planet, science is a must to find better solutions.
The more we understand what we do, the more we can limit the damage we cause to the planet. Modern life has been a little too comfortable for a little too long, it’s time we get back to work so we consume, and waste in more aware ways. Without the foundations we aquire in the introductory classes to science in highschool or college, we can’t comprehend the day-to-day products we use.
It’s hard, but in the end, I’ll gain greater autonomy, and responsibility.
