Finally, back to my books!
It took a long time, and lots of twists, and turns, things are stable enough to allow me to study peacefully again. It’s a good thing because I have two assignments, and three quizzes to do this week. St already picked up the pace with the to-do list, and got a lot done today. I’m proud of him. It’s going to be a rough week, but one that will make me grow.
After spending the afternoon in my book, St, and I sat down eat a delicious homemade beef soup while planning our Iceland trip. St did some research for a few details of our road trip, and we watched a few videos about the food mostly. We’re so excited for this adventure! I double checked what was allowed food wise, and we will make sure to bring food in its original packaging that will avoid as much as possible animal products. The official personal imports regulations page of Iceland is vague, and give lots of leeway to interpretation. We’re going to ire on the side of caution. It will be a carb week for St for sure.
Our upcoming international trip is the light at the end of the tunnel of the darkening days of the Fall. Northern lights I should say. Not seeing life as a constant chore is difficult for dysthymic people, having something to look forward to is essential to my mental health. Now that balance is returning slowly, I feel hopeful that all will go well. Also, my demande at my new university was accepted, all will be set for the Winter. Novelty awaits!
