It feels so good to be already known by my new partner's social circle and even introduced to one of his best friends by video chat. What a world of difference from my previous relationship. His kids are no excuse to keep me in the dark, and he is always clear about what he aspires to in the relationship. Night and day, literally!

I haven’t revealed yet that I enjoy drawing a short tarot reading for myself on a regular basis. Without using it as a decision tool, it still allows me to reflect on my life and see things from a different angle. Science remains my deepest love and go-to resource to make choices, but a short tarot reading can bring some peace of mind for the things that are out of my control.

When I say night and day, in this case, it is literal. When I asked my tarot deck about my ex, the Moon card would come up most of the time, the card of secret. On the day I reconnected with my current flame, and we finally admitted our interest in each other, the card of the Sun came up, signifying joy and openness. And the Sun card has come up regularly in my daily or almost daily readings since. A wonderful coincidence that makes me feel even better about this new start.

I’m not resentful towards my ex, he had his own inner struggles to deal with, and he did the best he could. I’m grateful that the book “Attachment” has taught me how to recognize a secure partner because he was one phone call away. Having respected my previous past relationships and supported me with a compassionate friendship for more than two years. Finally, the stars aligned in our favour, and we are starting this new relationship on a solid foundation of trust and mutual understanding. An absolute joy!

Gratitude Journal:

I’m grateful for L, my new love.
