Getting ready

The library is open, and I can use the private study rooms. Yeah! I spent time setting my new devices, and organizing my notes from last semester at school today, in private. Unfortunately, my motivation suffered a setback when my breakfast decided to wreck havoc on my plans. Nonetheless, I still got most of what I wanted to accomplish sorted out.

I’m not sure if I’ll be keeping my Chromebook. I cannot download the program I use to record my classes on it, it doesn’t run well Outlook, and it won’t play my end of day winding down movie. If it doesn’t meat my needs, I want my money back. The return policy allows for 30 days to do so, but I feel I’ll be taking care of the issue sooner. For the price, I knew I wasn’t getting a real computer, but it’s much less than what I expected. Oh well, at least I got to test it for myself.

Now the plan is to recover my Surface. I’ve always hated the fact it can’t stand on it’s own well like a laptop. Since I’m willing to invest in IT, and got some funding from my parents, I’m going to further explore my options with what I currently have. It’s more echo friendly, and I may be able to find a different keyboard that could help stabilizing the structure. More research is needed.

Thankfully, I feel much better now, and will be able to function tomorrow. A good night sleep will put me back on my feet, before continuing my school preparation. Also, another good thing happened today. I’m so glad to do my online algebra class this semester. It has been dramatically improved, and I don’t have to buy a book since all the necessary information is included in the class. Woot woot! My tutor is also ready to start again, and we will tackle this beast one baby step at a time.

Gratitude Journal:

I’m grateful for chicken noodle soup.
