Getting ready to go

Tomorrow I’ll be back on the bus to visit friends, and family. I spent the day getting ready, doing laundry, packing, and planning. Regardless of running around to take care of everything, I did have a relaxed morning with an okay night sleep. One thing I’ve noticed lately is how vivid, and coherent my dreams have become.

I probably managed to remember five dreams in total in all my life. Most days I would wake up with absolutely no recollection of anything at all. To me, sleeping was mostly black space behind my eyelids. Since my new medication, I enter interesting stories, field with individual I ether know or have seen in the media. I’m not jumping from one frame to the next, but actually follow a rational series of events. I’m really enjoying this new state of sleep.

It feels like I’m resolving a lot of subconscious issues. As I’m audio reading, “The journey from abandonment to healing”, by Susan Anderson, I can better create links between my dreams, and what my mind is trying to make sense of at an emotional level. In her book, she explains how emotional memories get stored first in the amygdala before it makes its way to the hypocampus, if it makes its way there depending on your age and/or stress level. Once again I’m deepening my knowledge in neurology, but with a vedy interesting twist on the subconscious. One thing for sure, this book will help me develop healthier bonds for the rest of my life from what I’ve learned so far.

I’m enjoying the remaining few days of freedom before Summer school starts Monday. As usual, learning about self-growth is my entertainment of choice. Between tasks, and places, I will learn whole news ways to experience life.

Gratitude Journal :

I’m grateful for my freshly cleaned bed.
