I knew it was coming. I lightly procrastinated on the easy tasks earlier this week not to face the study hurdle ahead, but here it is. I’m at the beginning of the climb, and it’s going to be a tough one. As my teachers sarcastically say: “like nature would make it simple.”

Yee-haw! So the rodeo begins. Just when I think I’m grasping a new chemistry concept, I’m thrown to the ground with exceptions, and further complications. I need to remind myself of how far I’ve come since September to keep faith in my ability to master this wild beast. Luckily, I enjoy the process thoroughly.

Another luck was the fact I slept well last night. That did help with my motivation, and focus. Along with hearty home cooked meals, my batteries supported me well today. I’m leaving the campus not too late to unwind in a timely manner so I can get back to my books in the morning. Except a laundry trip, not much should interfere in my learning this weekend. Health and well-being first for my brain to thrive.

Spending my Friday evening in a quiet spot studying at school was my definition of a great start to the weekend. I’m glad I properly recharged yesterday because the challenge of tackling 2 hefty chemistry modules will keep me busy for a good 15 hours or so in the days to come.

Gratitude Journal:

I’m grateful to know I can do it.
