Amazing! This was the best weekend I spent in years, and after much laughter and mischievousness, L and I are back to his place, or should I say — home. Each day keeps confirming that we made the right choice by transitioning from friends to lovers and, now, life partners. It may seem premature to talk about sharing a life together, and technically we are only a few weeks in our official relationship, but two years and a half of friendship built a great trust foundation.

Our combined previous relationship experiences, self-awareness, interest in psychology, and relentless desire to communicate and resolve any misunderstandings currently form the base we rely on for our future together. From waking up laughing to fully embracing our eccentricities or thriving in the chaos of our hyperactive mental squirrels, we form a playful team. We propel each other's creativity in beautiful ways, and I’ve never felt so accepted before. For once, I know I’m taken as I am and loved as I am. I now have a loving home.

I’m grateful for blanket forts.
