Mounts and valleys

Healing takes time and it’s not linear. Transitioning from one situation to the next, we need to mourn the past so we can welcome the future. Elisabeth Kübler-Ross 5 Stages of Grief remains the most reliable template to help us observe our moods when letting go of something or someone important in our lives. Denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance can be lived in that order or not. It seems I’ve been jumping from those 5 stages back and forth sometimes in the spent of a few hours. “It will be okay”; “How could he”; “We can fix this”; “It’s all over”; “Life goes on”…

Bouncing through the different stages has left me drained and in need of meditation. This weekend’s priority: breathing and more breathing.
