Preparing for school

Tomorrow I will be making my course choices and building my schedule for the Fall term. Positive and mild negative apprehensions rumble in my mind as my heart is simply enjoying the excitement. L’s is preparing some pancakes as I’m coordinating the details of my morning. Isn’t there anything better than to date a foodie? Yes, what’s better is to date a handsome foodie. Guess what? L’s is both.

Okay, enough of my gaga infatuation and more about what’s up in my life lately. One word: recovery. I’ve been resting and enjoying some vacation time before embarking on my lifelong journey in studying the human microbiome. I still relistened to Shawn Stevenson's “Eat Smarter” chapter on the microbiome earlier today to brush up only knowledge and tough L to lacto-ferment his own vegetables, which technically is playing around the nutrition aspect of microbiology. For nerds, studying and fun are pretty much one and the same.

A peaceful time before a new adventure is a luxury I rarely had the chance to enjoy. I’m going to make the most of it before the ball gets rolling again.

Gratitude Journal:

I’m grateful for the delicious smell coming out of L’s kitchen.
