Research, research and more research
The title says it all, my past week has been centred around multiple tangents of studies to figure out more about the potential causes of my fatigue as well as improving my sleep patterns and my digestion. The investigation continues but the suspects are being narrowed down and I’m looking at 3 primary factors in my lack of energy: depression, adrenal fatigue and cholesterol accumulation in my liver due to my carb intake increase.
I instinctively was drawn towards low carbohydrates diets in the past and always felt better when doing so. I had adjusted my nutrient entail to have a more neutral canvas to work from at the beginning of my 2-year journey but I was fully aware that I may have to bring modifications incase my dietary changes would not work with me. It has been 4 months now that I’ve reintegrated carby foods and I think my body is telling me to make a change.
I will be re-evaluating my macronutrients targets in the days to come to make sure I attend to my health requirement. It’s interesting to see how old and new problems creeped their way in over the past weeks but I’m definitely on a fast track to learning more about my metabolism and finding sustainable solutions. One thing for sure, a high fat low carb diet was very friendly to my sensitive liver contrary to popular belief. Properly understanding the metabolizing of cholesterol with modern research can be life saving information.
