Solutions are coming
Finally, my chemistry studies are moving ahead, as well as my thought process to solve my dilemma towards my lab partner. Things are falling into place. With better rest, and lest stress comes clarity. I’ll be okay for my midterms, and I now have a new allie to pull me out of downward spirals.
My math tutoring has proven amazingly productive, not so much in the quantity of problems being resolved, but rather in the quality of the education delivered. Most importantly, addressing the emotional dynamics behind my studying blocks is even more fruitful. I think my new tutor, and I are a fabulous match. From life views, and ingeniosity, our neurones get along. He’s expertise shows, with key explanations, and simple analogies everything becomes clear as day. It’s awesome!
At 27 years-old, it’s an extraordinary talent he possess to be able to explain complex mathematical processes in a fun, and simple way. I’m convincing him that he has to find a way to charge more for what he does. Students aren’t rich, but I’m sure he can find a way to deliver his gifts to the world in a way that would secure him a better future. More financial resources also means more ways to give back to those in need. As Jim Kwik explains in his audiobook, “Limitless”, be a “grow giver”. Help yourself grow as a person as well as financially so you can give back even more. My tutor likes the idea of propelling more people forward in their learning, hopefully I can give him confidence the way he gives me confidence.
As for my lab partner, she reached out to ask to study together. I said yes, but also I did let her know I wanted to talk about the last lab. She may not be fully aware of what I will be adressing, but she’s positive, and friendly. It allowed me to rethink how to approach the subject respectfully, and found a suitable compromise to make sure she does her part in the future. I do care about her friendship, and I’m pretty confident she will agree.
Now that I’ve started understanding what I’m doing study wise, I can go back to my usual learning pace. Plus, having my emotions stabilized first with the support I get from my new tutor, than by knowing how to address the situation with my lab partner adequately alleviated an incredible amount of stress from my mind. Relaxation is definitely kicking, time to sleep before another full day of study.
