Spinning to the finish line
My objective of the evening has been met. I finally submitted my chemistry quizz that I’ve been working on for a a few days. Even if uterine cramps woke me up at 2:30 am this morning, and couldn’t go back to sleep, I got up, and accomplished my last laboratory. I got back home right away, went back to bed for 2 hours, woke up refreshed, and did my first spinning class since 2018. From a miserable start being worried about my health to completing in success, it’s quite a turn of event.
Unfortunately, tha fatigue made it that I couldn’t enjoy fully my last laboratory. Still, I was efficient, and we did a great job over all. As for my spinning performance, surprisingly I could push much more than my first ever spinning class. My body knew exactly what to do. Since I understand the structure of the classes, I know how to preserve my energy, where to catch my breath, and when to give it my all. It felt amazing to pedal like a maniac whill flushingy steess away. The ambiance of the gym, and the motivator wasn’t the best so I’ll try another place in a few days to see if I can find the good old vibe from my previous spinning studio. Unfortunately, that studio is located a pretty much a continent away on the other side of Canada. Hopefully I can find its equivalent.
The semester is coming to an end, and I’m giddy. It will feel good to have a bit of time off, but also to see how much I’ve learned in the past 3 months. It’s crazy how fast, and loaded my courses are. I’m super proud to have made it this far, and even more eager to go further.
A pleasant surprise came in the form of positive comments on one of my blog posts from my favourite writer of the moment on Medium. I’m flattered, and honored by the time he invested to pay attention to my writing. You may want to read his very interesting views. My favourite article of his is: “The deliberately single man.” I know my following is extremely modest, but in the hope this link reaches the shores of those who can benefit from this brilliantly composed blog, I send this bottle in the sea.
I’m expecting a relax early start tomorrow, and I’ll be investing my time, and attention on algebra all the way to the weekend, before I dive back into chemistry. A mental sprint awaits. And for that, I need some shut eye.
