The comfort of home

Today was a reset day. No school, lots of rest, and doing things for my well-being. From healthy cooking to finding a good laundromat, my attention was on single simple tasks. Letting my mind wander while performing mundane shores feels so good after having stretched myself outside of my comfort zone for weeks.

Day after day, I deepen the relationship with myself. Being single, and living alone provides the distraction free environment that forces this outcome. Loneliness still accompany me everyday, but I’m getting use to it. Prioritizing my goals is easier when I make uninfluenced decisions for my life. I still message my friends, and my mom pretty much on a daily so I’m not completely cut off. Though, I can better hear my inner voice at this stage.

One step at a time, I find refuge in my own company. Sometimes wrapped in a warm blanket with a hot herbal tea, I’m deepening my connection with my own ability to take care of me. Developing a rythme that follows the seasons while keeping a pace that respects my subtle energy, that journey inspires me right now. As events unfold, I will find my way to get there.

Gratitude Journal:

I’m grateful for heavy cream sauce.
