The feast

--

Today was my turn to cook as a way to thank my hosts for their hospitality. From duck to edamame and green banana cupcakes, it was brilliant. With the help of the genius teenager cook of the family, we put together marvellous dishes inspired by the spices you can find on the silk road. We ate, we laugh, and we had wonderful conversations. Shortly after the main meal gathering, L arrived, a bit late but early enough to meet my friends.

We’re off to bed before another exciting day ahead. The next step: getting y keys for my new place and visiting it in person for the first time.

Gratitude journal:

I’m grateful for L’s dedication to our relationship.
