The winds of change
The equinox arrived in my city along with sudden strong winds sweeping away the dust of Winter making place for Spring. Micahel Simmons’s blog post: “Google Director Of Engineering: This is how fast the world will change in ten years” was the perfect eye-opener read for my morning. We all know that life’s pace is increasingly speeding up as the decades go by but it’s interesting to find out the actual numbers behind this intuitive observation. I’m glad that my long-life investment in diversifying my experiences and education will be an asset for the future.
I’m glad I chose to study microbiology and aspire to specialize in the human microbiome. Not only will it give me a sense of purpose doing something that will positively impact people’s health, but it also is a leading field in research. I’m grateful for giving myself this opportunity at reinventing myself once more regardless of being 40.
My day started on a good note but things got harder in the afternoon as sadness became more present. Luckily, I have dinner with a good friend at a nice restaurant and can now go to bed with a bit of safe socialization in me. Each day brings a bit more healing to my heart, each day teach me more and one day I will thrive again. For now, I’m enjoying my reinvention cocoon.
