My two years commitment of blogging on a daily has come to terme. I may have skipped a few days, but I wrote for twenty months for a personal challenge. It was a popular advice back then to tell people to blog for three months as a tool for personal gorwth.

Initially, I had a whole plan about health, and wanted to undergo different dietary, and exercise routines. My body quickly put an end to my goal as chronic fatigue made it clear it was there to stay. I’m still under the energy level I used to have, but I learned to cope. From there, it turned into my diary.

In two years I let go of a business, returned to school, overcame a major heartbreak, started a life with my future husband, defeated a major depressive episode, found great solutions for my health, I reconnected with my family, moved across a continent, and realized my birthday dream.

I may not have been able to see northern lights, but I hiked a mountain path to a natural hot springs river, where St, and I bathed while it was minus ten degrees Celsius outside. We took a few sips of proseco, equivalent to champagne, and managed to get dry without turning hypothermic. We made our way back to base under the full moon, and took more than a hundred pictures.

Being in Iceland with the love of my life, awaiting to start at a new university to enter my dream microbiology, and immunology program, returning to health, and surrounded with loved one is what I call success. It was a roller coaster journey, but I did it. Now, if I write, it will be because I want it, and not because I feel forced to due to my own commitment. Today, I turned forty-two, and I’m grateful to be healthy, and alive to experience incredible adventures like the one I just had a few hours ago.
