Where did July go?
It’s already the last week of July, and it feels I’ve accomplished only half of what I wanted to do. With a closer look, I can see that I accomplished a lot, just not what I expected to do. As much as I’ve enjoyed my new relationship, my new friends, my new home and my vacation, the clock is now ticking before school starts.
In a few days, I will be back on the road to Montreal to get my neuropsychology evaluation and receive my official dyslexic diagnosis. I’m eager to find out more about my cognitive makeup to better function with my atypical ways. Also, the extra financial support and student accommodations will help a lot in my academic path.
Outside of my school plans, I still have to move forward on translating and helping out with the website of Mariposa; it seems the days fly by too fast to sit down and focus on it at the moment. One way or another, I will have to get it done. It’s time to set some deadlines for myself.
My dear friend will host me as I receive my evaluation in Montreal, and fun plans have been made to maximize that time. We haven’t had the chance to go out for a bite since the pandemic started, so we are eager to reconnect over a good meal. Then, I will return to my new place to grab a few items before returning to the beach with L.
A busy week is ahead, a fun one for sure—time to rest and get organized tomorrow.
